Flooded ...At the time of this entry, we've been working almost 4 hours to attempt to bail water flooding into the basement.
It's a losing battle...
The two sump pumps couldn't handle the flood waters and I've desperately been trying to save all my valuables, like my computer and tax papers and all my electronics. The water was up to my ankles by the time I rescued my monitor. I could not save everything, but I got the most important stuff down there.
After bailing water for so long, I've practically collapsed. It's pointless because the water's just gushing from the walls and floor. I'm just not fast enough, and now the sump Guy won't be here till 6am.
The basement is pretty much gone...
Now this means, since my main computer is lying up here in a heap and there's no internet hookups here as far as I know, I'll only be using my tablet (as long as my wifi holds out), but this means my time here is extremely limited. Comments vs. FavoritesI just read *Octobertiger's most recent journal and I decided I would like to type up something similar.
She makes a point that a kind comment can help cancel out a troll comment, and that's true. She also mentions when non one comments on something the artist is likely to think it's crap, which is true, I have felt this way many times with something I was proud of before uploading it. It's really not hard to quickly post a short comment, then when you really love something you'll feel more motivated to "one up" the comments you usually send, so you will give a longer, nicer comment for really good art. This will help motivate artists to share more art, get better, and cure the horrid illness we have all suffered from at some point called art block.

SnowdropI don't like much fan content when it comes to MLP:FiM, like pictures with fan OC's and I never read the fan fiction. It really takes an exceptional piece of media to capture my attention as well. I'm just super duper picky when it comes to so many things.

Just recently, I've been noticing tons of fanart dedicated to this fan made character named, "Snowdrop". A sky blue and white little filly whom I assumed to be another "Nyx" or whatever you call it. I shrugged her off for a few days, but the art even started to pop up on EquestriaDaily, so curiosity got the better of me and I went looking for her origin, since I was aware of fan made episodes of MLP popping up here and there.

SPRING WHERE ARE YOU?A friend posted on face book that he had 6' tall snow banks in his yard. People form out of town thought it was an april fools joke, if only.
The temperatures are getting above freezing during the day and the snow is melting. At night it drops below freezing and is keeping things from thawing too quick. Serious Question**SEMI-UPDATE: The sporadic flea on speed strikes again! SERIOUSNESS -- what is wrong with me that I can't FOCUS on anything long enough to finish? Work ethic leaves the building. Hey guys I've managed to track the hacker that's been terrorizing DeviantArt down on Twitter, from what I've seen he's stolen over more than 2000 accounts here and is currently stealing more and more. What's worse is he's aiming to shut down dA and his next target seems to be Tumblr, he's also set up an anti-aspergers campaign. I won't let him get away with this, I'll be keeping watch of this hacker for a while monitoring his tweets and I'll keep you guys posted

His way of stealing others accounts is he set up a false website that SUPPOSEDLY lead you to the dA login, but in actual fact it was a phony page so that he could steal people's usernames and passwords. I'll do what I can to keep you guys updated but it won't be enough on it's own so you need to spread the word to as many Deviants as possible cause they to might be in danger from this hacker. Also if you have a tumblr account then warn as many as possible there and encourage them to spread the warning as well so they can be prepared. People who are new or popular to dA are his main targets so they need to be told more than anyone. Lets work together and protect DeviantArt!!!!!!
